Hey, I’m Faye Bryan and my family members are Henrietta Bowen, Henrietta Bryan, Lorraine Bryan, and Darnell Fowler. LECFamily is the intergenerational program ministry of the Life Enrichment Center, a retreat facility of the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
LECFamily seeks to support congregations and individual families in making faith formation a family affair. What happens at home matters, especially when it comes to faith. We realize families are busy, and being intentional about faith formation together can be challenging. Our programs provide the opportunity for families to get away from the daily grind, and focus on what matters the most in a fun and safe environment.
Our family camps and retreats seek to help families experience three things, the “LEC” of LECFamily:
- LOVED – Adults and children will know they are loved, both by their families and by God.
- EMPOWERED – Adults and children will be empowered with the confidence needed to talk about and live out their faith in meaningful ways. In addition, they will receive empowering tools and practices to continue to create faithful families at home.
- CONNECTED – Families will feel connected to one another through play and worship, story, and singing. They will also feel connected to God through interactive, meaningful worship, prayer, and devotion opportunities.
We also seek to provide resources when you’re not at camp too, both for parents and churches, to help foster a lifestyle of intergenerational faith formation. Home is church too!
